Dude across the street bought this 01 Blaster from a dealership last year for $3800. Rides it 3 times, crashe, bent the bars and scared the shit out of himself, it sat for a year and he finally wants to get rid of it.
We just took over the dudes payments, there's only $1200 left owing......SCORE :smokin:

They are a pretty fun machine to be only 200cc :cool2: That price is good so that adds to the cool factor..
They have a good after market for performance parts and accessories so you should be able to modify it to suit your needs :grinpimp: The worst things about the Blaster are the rear brakes and the lack of reverse.. The brakes can easily be upgraded but the lack of reverse is something that you will have to get use to.. But other then that they are a pretty reliable for a 2 stroke..
One other thing I would suggest is to get the block off plate for the oil mixing tank and mix the gas and oil yourself.. I have seen these fail and cause the motor to lock up do to not putting any oil in with the gas.. My buddy has a Polaris 400 Scrambler with the same type of oil mixing system and I told him the same thing when he got it.. About 2 weeks ago he called and told me that his is locked up and needs to be rebuilt.. He was surprised to see the oil tank still full and the gas tank empty

Where can I find an oil block off plate, is it something that needs to be fabbed or can I buy one?

They should have them at your local ATV parts supplier or you can find them online.. Here is one that comes with everything you need including instructions for $21.50 it is the 4th one down http://dtdyno.com/shop/ATV/blaster/
Here is a Trenga Oil injection block off kit with ilustrated instructions on how to install it
http://www.trengaracing.com/support/OIBOK_p.html
Here is a write up of a buildup of a Yamaha Blaster that uses one by James Lucky and also has some action videos http://atvscene.com/evaluations/projectblaster-04.htm
There are a lot of different companies that make this kit because it has caused so many failures with all brands of ATV's.. I have seen the same failures on oil injected outboard motors.. It is a pretty straight forward install that I'm sure you can handle :D I think the only reason the manufactures even keep making this design is because it makes them a lot of money in fixing all of them when they fail :mad3: Mixing your oil and your gas yourself is the ONLY way to guarantee that it's right..
Do yourself a favor and put this kit on as soon as possible it's cheap, effective and easy to install and will make your new ATV purchase last a lot longer.. You can thank me later :flipoff2:

Oh yeah I forgot to add if you don't have one of these get one Click Here (http://www.faster-motocross.com/ratio-rite-cup.html)
You can get one at your local Walmart in the boating/fishing department for about $2 bucks that looks a little different but is the same thing and comes with the lid.. It tells you how much oil to gas ratio to put in the tank on the side.. It takes all of the guess work out and you can't beat it for $2 bucks.. I use mine for every 2 stroke that I have..

Before rockcrawling I raced MX/desert, I had all the cool shit as far as tools and stuff went. When I sold the bike all (except the tools, never never ever sell tools) went with it, back to square one :shaking:
