I have got a 1973 FJ55 that is rusting out, it needs a new distributor, and a good tune up. Besides that everything else is in fair to good condition. Would it be worth my time to part it out or just to sell the whole thing?

By the way it has air conditioning as well.

Does it have the original F motor? Are the front fenders still attached or do they flap in the wind? Depends on how much rust?

What are you looking for, to get rid of, part it out or fix it up and drive it?

It does have the original F engine. I would like to get rid of it because I have another 1976 2F that I want to fix up.

Sell it whole. Pig misc parts don't bring that much $$, especially if the body is shot.

Run an add on the F/S board, Specter and CCOT and try to keep that baby on the road.

If you can't get the $$ you need, kill her off :(

To part or not is a tough question with the older ones... not a whole lot of value in the engine or axles. Only thing worth a $h!t is the transfer case and frame. You could make some money on the 55 specific stuff like doors and lights, but its a nickle here and there.

i'll vouch for not being able to get much for the parts...by the way, anyone need a 71 grill, rear doors, cargo glass, valve cover??? anyone????

I may also have some side markers...have to check.
