rotozuk 03-10-2002, 10:50 PM Thought I'd share some photos of my new goody:

As a little background, this goes into my Zuk with Mazda Rotary (13B-6 port), 4 speed auto with lock up in all gears, Toyota Twins, and Toyota Axles with Saginaw steering.
Should be fun.

TNToy 03-11-2002, 10:47 AM Have you given any thought to clocking the t-case for better clearance? Crash used an OTT adapter from the SM465 to the stock case in his Toy, and he clocked the case. It looks like you should be able to do the same, since the only link to your stock drivetrain is the intermdiate shaft.
Crash will come pretty close to having a flat belly pan in his Toy, so it's definitely something to think about, if your driveshafts will be long enough.

rotozuk 03-11-2002, 11:01 AM Yes, I will be clocking the t-case a bit. The goal is to have the t-case above the frame rails.

T1H5_TA3 03-11-2002, 06:23 PM i was up at crash's on sun.. the t-cases are about an inch above te frame rails, the lowest point shuld be mayby 1/4 inch below the frame.. its guna be fawk'n sweet..
larryboy 03-11-2002, 06:25 PM super nice.
i hadn,t thought of starting with a blank,good idea.
thats my exact plan for my luv truck.
stock it has a flat underbelly, and a divorced toy is the best way to keep it that way.
i'm going with a 4.3,700r4(2wd),divorced dual toys,and toy axles(front is already done)
dangerber 03-18-2002, 01:20 PM Back up to the top for a question:
Rotozuk: Is your sammi stock wheelbase? Do you know if the Mazda tranny is longer, or shorter than the zuk trans output?
Just wondering: I'm trying to figure out if I can do dual toy cases with the OTT divorce kit.

Nope mine is not going to be a stock wheel base. The Mazda Tranny is 32" long, much longer then the stock tranny. When I installed the motor and tranny into the frame I decided to push it back as far as practical with the plan of opening up the wheel base a bit. I'm starting to rethink this though..
Anyhow, your main question is can the doubles fit into a Samurai without a motor swap, and without stretching the wheelbase. And I think the answser is yes. I took some photos last night to illustrate this, but have not yet gotten them out of the camera.. Maybe tomorrow.

Doc_Freakshow 03-20-2002, 06:23 PM Not really,, I want to see it completely installed..
dangerber 03-21-2002, 09:38 AM Well, by the looks of that, one toy t-case would be fine, but another reduction box might make it too long. I'm going to need to do some measuring...
Thanks for the pics!
