Not bad, we took 7th in our class. I can't even begin to tell you guys how different it is to compete. But with that in mind the Zuk is going to get some 35's and some new suspension. We hope to be ready for Calrocs at Reno.

I gotta come clean... The first several gates we scored prudy high on was MY fault... I VERY seriously under estimated the little Zuk.. I shot him some poor lines thinking he couldn't hang with the big boys on the "vert" stuff...:( After a couple of gates, We had a "meet'n" and it was decided that Fawk it lets go right up the middle... The Zuk climb'd just as good if not better than anyone else!! The drops where a little rough, but ALOT of skinny pedal and the rear came down (after a while)

NOT have'n cut'n brakes HURT, the ONLY rig on 33's HURT, and uncut Boggers REALLY, REALLY hurt..... BUt just like Fatkid said, we learn'd ALOT and we'll come back stronger than ever....:bender:

How are you feeling about the wheelbase after all that? Longer better, did short help, waddya think?

And congrats one being a contender, let alone your finish. Must have been a blast.

On a side note, I have noticed that competition does funny things to your head. Did you find that you two remembered the runs differently, or lost track of time during the run?

We did great on our time limits and the wheel base work well for the area. We did get hung alot on the 33's we were running. When it comes to taking points it gets crazy! Points for backing up, points for stoping, points for winching, and points for just about anything you can think of. As far as our heads there was a point were we both got really burnt, but we manage to shake it off and get it awnn.

No cutting brakes but I think were going to go with an ARB in the front and some new 35's. Not to mention if we have time we might shave the axle housings for some added clearence. As far as springs we might use some Yj's and extend the wheel base to the class maximum of 2.5". We'll see.:)

Hey TB and FK,
Is there a site or can you give me the rules for Calrocs competitions? Just curious. I was thinking about organizing some stuff up here and some reference points would be a good start.

Congrats BTW on your success. You'll only do better next time...

It's funny to say that a Zuk on 33's looks "small" when they used to be the biggest zuks out there. The 35's will help big time.

thanks in advance.:D
