Engine, Frame and Tub is all that is left

i have removed the following:

wheels
axles
steering
suspension
transfer case
transmission
fuel tank

now its time to start putting it back together

this week im having the tranny built (Shift Kit, remote filter, Deep Pan, new Converter), and putting the JB 241 kit in... then putting the tranny, x-case back in next weekend.

So what are you doin' to it?

If you are going to one-ton axles - shave them BEFORE you put them on, so you don't have to pull them later like me ;)

Yep one tons

D-60 front- 30 spline, 71"wms, 5.13's, detroit, long 4-link w/trac bar, hydro steering

D-61 rear- 35 spline, 67" wms, 2" spacers, Spool, long 4 link

i am not going to "shave them"... i am going to clerance them a little.

Going to narrow that front? That's a wide bitch. ;)
It's really easy/cheap to do.

no actually i am putting spacers on the back to make it match

with std rockcrawler wheels and 15" wide tires i should be 88" wide.

like pontiac says...wider is better

Wow, that is wide. Should be stable off camber, but could be a booger on trails with trees!

Glad you are finally started.

I'm in the middle of the same build-up 'cept for the 14 bolt rear.

What price and where did you get your 5.13's and detroit from?

What wheels you using and where from?

I agree, it's good to be wide.

(mine's got squares)

The best times are when I am not at work. Unfortunately that is less common than it used to be. When do you want to come by?
