: Coilover setup

Right now I'm planning my YJ project out so as soon as I get it I can build it fast. I'm trying to decide on what suspension setup to go with. Cost is a factor and I do drive it sometimes around town and to local trails so ride is slightly a factor.

However, coilovers look really nice. From what I have read they flex great and improve the ride over even a SOA setup.

My question is how are people running coilovers on their YJ's. I would like pictures mostly or a write up of what type of suspension they are running (3 link, 4 link) what brand/model of coilover, and how they have them mounted to their axle and Jeep.

TIA!

Ditto. I am getting ready to go ciol over in the front, staying spring over in the rear.

Why that?
Also what are you running in the rear just a traction bar?

I like how the rear moves. 2" BDS waggy springs, revolvers and zboxes. I have a coil onversion in the front that just doesn't perform the way I want it too.

So you stretched your wheelbase with those Wago springs? Did you move your tank? What axles you running?

Do you have any pictures of your setup? Does your diff ever hit the tank? What is your wheelbase length?

Thanks again!

No close ups yet. Still working the bugs out of it. Wheelbase is currently around 98" working on that, too.

Will have pics as soon as it's fixed and out here.

I'm realling digging the front coilover setup and SOA in the rear. This would be easy enough. Doing coilovers in the rear would require cutting the bed and no more rear seat, gonna take heat for that one :), are you running a traction bar in the rear? And did you cut into your bed to move your gas tank up?

Also if anyone sees a problem with this setup please chime in.

No traction bar right now. Might be swapping my rear springs out shortly and require one.

No cutting on the gas tank. Just moved it up close to the bottom of the tub. Runing a 1.5" body lift, so you can move the tank up a good 4 inches.
