i looked at my TJ before i pulled the axles and it looked like the linkages (steering) were about 2" behind center... i know i can move it 2" in front of center (4"total) w/o moving the streering box but i really want to move it about 6" is this possible w/o moving the box?

Behind the axle, high clearance steering would help with some room to scoot the axle forward, but you have the funky front 60 with ball joints instead of king pins, right?

I do need to get you over here to see my front end. It sounds like you will get to see some of your ideas in play under mine.
