1. Rover Tym (www.rovertym.com) or OME (sources abundant) for springs and Bilstein (sources abundant) or OME (sources abundant) for shocks...FWIW I went OME as I'm in the middle on no where in this planet and they are off the shelf parts that can be ordered easily when f*^$ed

2. Take it out and put a work light with a seperate switch

3. Silicone

You didn't mention needing (wanting) a suspension lift...

But, go with the before mentioned RoverTyme springs in either 2" or 3" lift (3" if you want to run 31 or 32" tires).

Unless you do a lot of high speed trail sections, go with run-of-the-mill Rancho shocks - search the archives for which ones. Bling-steins are way cool but I can buy three Ranchos for the price of one of those.

If you're venturing into the evil world of lift and flex, RoverTyme is as good a place to send your wallet as any other :D

Where the f#$& is Brighton ?

Brighton! You know, one of those anonymous Chicago suburbs...like Racine :flipoff2:

Interior lights flashing is an alarm fault, IIRC.

Because no one else has suggested it, I get to... :flipoff2:, newby, and go to DiscoWeb.

Thanks guys im gonna pile about 75 tubes of silicone on the rear sunroof and the alarm code info and all the other info is very helpfull, I do want a suspension lift but I go in some areas where tipping is not an option unless I want to drink the clean clear waters of the Mississippi River. How high is safe with these things? discosaurus Brighton is 1 hour up the river from St Louis there are some challenging bluff areas to wheel in around here, which is why the susp lift would help but 32s are the max? I am a toyotaholic but these rovers work! I got hooked after we traded in our honda element towards the 04 I was very suprised it was a very capable rig as it was. By the way I am about 5 hours from chicago

The '94 has a very simple alarm. In this case, it might be a bad multi-function unit-worth looking into.

What else isn't working correctly?? What about the CD changer, key in switch (does it beep with the car off, key in, and door open), shift interlock (meaning can you put it in low range)?? Does the radio ever momentarily turn off when you open a door or shift from park to drive??

Do you have an electrical troubleshooting manual or a RAVE cd?? If so your problem is in view 134. It is the HJ6, S2021, splice in the right footwell. Behind the blower there are some wires wrapped in some black sheathing with zip ties. All of those components go to a green 20 pin connector inside that sheathing. Most likely your problem is there. If that connector is corroded and that is why all your stuff isn't working then you should check for water ingress around the climate control system intake under the cowl. Your 94 has the early style shroud which is know to let water in. There was a technical service bulletin about it, TIB 80/01/97/NAS. I can PM you the part numbers needed to correct the problem if you need them.

There is a green 20 pin conecter that has already been pulled out but it looks like nothing comes out the other side, there is just a bunch of wires the thing looks like its capped off...?? Ther are ALOT of wires pulled out from under the dash previous owner must have known what a jerk. Anyhow is there a way to make the t case go into low by bypassing somthing. Thanks for all of your help by the way.

no corrosion by the way

That green connector is a splice, you can pull the bottom off of it. I would take it apart and look at it. You can take fused link and put 12 volts to the purple wire in 2 pin connector that goes into the CD player and see if that momentarily fixes the problem. I think the only other thing on that fuse is the multi function unit so if all else fails you could try that.

You can take the solenoid out of the transfer case and you will be able to shift into low, just be careful.

Where is the multi function unit?? I think because of the specific things going wrong that could be it....?? I am Green as all out on rovers though so I apreciate all the help.
