What do you think of this idea. The goals are to maintain load capacity and soften the ride. I would pull 2 of the 4 leafs out of my rear Rancho 2.5" lift springs (overly stiff) and install air bags having 7" of working travel over the leaf or over the axle. I could always fab up a traction bar if wheel hop becomes a problem having removed leafs. Any thoughts? Anyone know the differences in performance between tapered sleeve, reversible sleeve and convoluted air springs?

Is my reasoning on track that the taller bag should have a lower spring rate, as doubling the weight on an air bag spring should compress it to half the volume (to support that weight the pressure must double), therefore the taller bag will give more suspension travel? So two bags of equal diameter, but one being taller, should have a lower spring rate in lbs per inch?
any thoughts?
What effect would diameter of the bag have aside from max capacity at 100 psi (the max you fill them to)?
