I have used them on the rear of my full width YJ and now they are on the front. I pulled the 3rd leaf from the bottom and loved them. With the 3rd leaf installed they were a too stiff for me.

are they 2 1/2 in lift or are they a 4 inch lift on the YJ?

The 44044 is a Rancho 2.5" Wagoneer front lift spring

From the looks of it 44044's give plenty of room to run 38's. Would it be to much lift to run these with totally hacked fenders and 37's

I have yet to take any pics. But I am running 44044 in the front and I have the 44044 for the rear. I am running 38.5 tsl sx. I am getting 2" backspaced beadlocks front and rear. I rub on the inner fender well some at full flex. But these spring get the tire off the edge of the fenderwell(Hope that makes sense). I am hoping that the beadlocks will get me out of the fenderwells a little more. I will take pics and post it on here since this subject come up alot.
In the rear I was hitting in the corner also so I got the Waggy and will be making or buying the more spring pads that will let me adjust another inch back. This keep the tires from grabbing the front and rear fenderwell corners. In my experiance with a set of NEW 38.5 you WILL hit front and rear corners of the fenderwells. But the 44044 let you get IN the fenderwell so that you can rub instead of catching.

Here is Rockslut running 44044's f/r I believe and I also believe those are 38's. I will be running front fenders like those and rear cut like yjtj so I am thinking 44044's will give me to much lift and thinking about the 1 1/2 Wago springs.

I could be wrong on Rockslut's setup though, maybe he can verify.

Thanks!

Matt, Your jeep is so pretty!

I thought stock waggy's were 1.5" over stock YJ.

So a 44044 is 2.5" over that, thus 4" over a stock YJ:confused:

I replaced my rear 2 1/2" superlift with 44044's. They are the same amount of lift. Havent used them real hard yet but seem to flex real nice. Much more balanced flex front to rear than before.

Well thank you! :flipoff2:

That is an older photo of my Jeep though.

I currently am putting together the front GM 60 on 44044 springs and the rear 70 on MJ 56" springs.

I really like the 44044 springs. I pulled the 3rd leaf from the bottom when the springs were new and the flexed great. NO WRAP at all. I do not have a rear wrap bar either. I had these springs in the rear with stock 7 leaf waggy fronts. Now I have the longer springs in the rear and the 44044's in the front.

I put the 3rd leaf back in because of the increased weight of the front 60 and the 39.5" TSL's and beadlocks. :D

Matt,
I hope that I dont have a wrap problem.... So you think that I would be allright taking the srd leaf out on the front oh my setup? I have a D44. I think that I am going to leave them alone iun the rear since I am going to be running a 14 Bolt and 38.5 w locks.

I have had the springs on the front and rear with the 3rd leaf out. Never had a problem. Each Jeep is different but I like these springs.

Steering concerns with moving the front forward:question:

I'm ordering springs in about 4 hours and It's decision time btween these and RE SOA.

Help me with mo info

I have the drag link above the spring and tie rod in the factory location. I am currently going to put the tie rod behind the axle on my D60.

If you have only the drag link above the springs there will be no binding at all. I have a dropped waggy pitman arm and everything clears great.

I will be running the Tie rod in the factory location on my Ford60 and running the draglink above the spring to a hysteer arm. I picked up a wagoneer piman arm also but it isn't dropped. Looked at everything yesterday and it looked OK.

I like the wagoneer arm because it's 1-1.5" longer than YJ and already bored to accept a Ford rod end. I was just planning on taking a stock Ford tie-rod and cutting it to make my drag link.

Would you recommend running these front and rear, just front, or what.

I was thinking RE SOA rear (1.5" lift) and 44044 front (hoping it'll be level because of the winch)

I really want to run the 44044's f&R but I was worried about wrap, now you say you've never had any and I'm really tempted

The Rockslut

The 44044's are a 6 spring pack and have 3 clamps on the springs. If you stap those babys on and leave them along (or pull one leaf to suit your needs) I dont think you will have a problem. Worse case scenario you have to have a track bar on the rear axle. All depends on vehicle weight, HP, yada yada yada.

I'd build a anti-axle wrap bar, and save your new springs from being bent. In my experience any spring that is soft enough to flex good, stands a good chance of being bent by axle wrap. I'm sure you will have some wrap, how much depends on many different factors.

The YJ is light (except for the axles)

4-banger, no roof, stripped down

I've decided to get them, 44044's F&R.

Like you said worst case I just add an anti-wrap bar out back.

I'm going to leave them as a six pack because I think the axles will be enough to flex them.

Where did you order yours from, what are they like $130/spring

Best place that I have found is Summit. Cant remember what my buddy paid just recently but they were definetly cheaper than what I paid and I thought I was getting a good deal at the time. www.summitracing.com Their website sucks so just call them.

OK i have asked this several times on the waggy spring threads. I have searched and no one can produce it. Not a difficult request:

Can someone post a pic of a waggy pitman arm vs. a YJ arm?

I want to move my axle forward about an 1-1.5", and possibly use 44044's later. What is the difference in drop/throw, etc.. between either a drop waggy arm or a drop YJ arm? I am going to run the stock waggy steering configuration until the $$ allows for cross over. Please help i gotta buy the pitman this week. I would rather get the waggy so i dont have to retaper the YJ arm. I just want to make sure there will be no binding/clearance issues. Will a drop YJ arm make the drag link bind on the tie rod with the axle forward and inch?Help! Thanks!

That is what they run... They sell out quickly when they get them in. Summit is the best deal. I posted prices of 5 or 6 other places on a earlier post and Summit was the cheapest.

They come with bushings installed

Gotcha. I just didn't know if they used 1/2" or 9/16" hardware. Rockslut cleared it up. I'll just have to drill my shackles up front to 9/16".

Thanks for all the help. I should have everything (HP60, 14 Bolt, Springs, Driveshafts, Winch) bolted together by the middle of next week.
:D

Now if my beadlocks would show up I could roll it out of the garage:mad:

I run them frt and rr, like em too. But, they are not bombproof. I have seen plenty of them bend and break. I have a bent one right now myself.....
