where is teh tag for the ratio? it is a 78 3/4 14 bolt...4.10's? or 3.73?

Probably doesn't have one. Turn the pinion and see how many turns to turn the axle shaft, or dissasemble and count teeth. Ring gear teeth/pinion gear teeth = ratio.

Like 1 ton said, spin it over. $1 bet says they are 4.10's Pretty common in the 14.

Since its hard to see the pinion teeth on the 14 bolt, just look for the numbers stamped on the outside of the ring gear. if its a 4.10 the it will have a 10 41 stamped. if its a 3.73 it will have a 11 41 spamped. Unless it is different than any of the ones i have worked on the first number is the number of pinion teeth, the second number is the # of ring gear teeth. Be careful though. The last one I worked on had 11 41 10 stamped on it. I thought that it was a 4.10. It was not! :mad: It was 3.73
