k.....here's where I am now. A while ago I posted several messages on here to try and get my Jeep started. After nothing would work, I finally got it towed to a mechanic.
The mechanic phoned me today and said that two 50 amp fuses were blown, and that he was getting no signal from his code scanner from the computer. He thinks that I jumped it wrong and fried the computer, which is apparently an $1100 CAD part, as chrysler only has new ones.

If any of you remember, my Jeep wouldn't start for a long time. I changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor and had to put in a new starter because my old one died.

Any suggestions or help? Is it really likely that it is the computer? I definitely don't need that huge expense.

Should be able to have your ECU replaced/rebuilt cheaply

Check AutoZone or Pep Boys. I think you can get them for a couple hundred.

Go to the wanted section....seems like as many engine swaps that happen somebody should have 1 cheap.

Check Junk yards as well. Also try ebay. i needed a computer for my 300ZX and they have them on there all the time.

my 89 2.5l computer is on ebay right now. $5. that cheap enough?

I am not sure that the 89 will work i the 91, I think the 89 is throttle body, while the 91 is port injected, 4 injectors. If you can't find one let me know (email or PM)my buddy has one to sell.

that depends. not all 91 were port injected I believe. that was the crutial year in fuel injection for wranglers. I am not positive though. just have to look and see. If it is TB then mine is by far the cheapest.
