heres what i got off the tube

i pulled this number off the corner of the diff i dont know if it means anything

Uh, where did the axle come from? Dana? Ford? Chrysler? GM? Toyota?

In the immortal words of Dr. Evil:

"Throw me a fricken bone here!"

So far, the Ford axles I've seen have had it cast into the chunk or something. They also didn't have spreader holes like I mentioned on JU.

That looks like a 60 but could be a 70. What was the spline count on the axles?

I say 60 because the webbing looks a little light compared to my 70 but the photo of the carrier look more like a 70.

If its from a ford it's from a 78. However did it have 3.07 gears in it? Look on the side of the case, on top of the case split on the right side. On thing that has me confused is 3.07 I was thinking that only 61su had gears that high. But wasn't around in 78.

What is the date from the ring gear? It looks like it's from a ford, 3" wide spring pads.

It is a d60 from a 78 1/2 two wheel drive Ford with 3.07 gears and an open carrier.
