Hello,
I have a set of extende arms with the option to mount a shock absrober in frint on the "c". (NOT STOCK "C")
I was wondering if this would be a good spot to attach a sway bar to. I'm not sure how much pressure the bushings can take. Poly bushings.
Anybody ever done this? Got pics or comments??? Let me hear it.

What kind of rig? Poly bushings can take a lot of abuse. Look at the teeny tiny ones that come with sway bar kits for the end links.

It's a full-size. I got the extended arms that you can mount three shocks to.( 2 behind axle 1 in front of axle.)
So if you can mount a shock to the front can you mount the sway bar there???
( I don't have the stock stuff so I'm sustituting with what I have!!!) I'm a cheap SOB

It should be fine. It kinda depends on how big the sway bar is, but I imagine it's standard automotive type stuff. I've seen sway bars attached to much less than a shock mount before...not that I'd recommend it, but I have seen it.
Are you planning on leaving the sway bar attached while off-roading or are you going to have quick disconnects? The reason I ask is because the more you articulate the truck with the sway bar connected, the higher the forces that mount will see. Normal on-road driving involves such little articulation that they call is sway...body roll...whatever.

Most of the guys that I know that run fullsize trucks don't even run a front swaybar, and most of the time take it off completely. It makes them ride like ass. Mine is gone and I like it that way. The only reason I would consider putting it back in is if I had to commute through twisty mountains with a trailer on a regular basis. Last thing I need is for the TTB to ride + flex worse than it already does.

No, it's for on-road use only, I have discos for it. I don't like the feeling you get when you corner hard to avoid the Civic that you really want to run over!!! lol
I'm hesitant that the mount should be used because it's also "floats" on the c bushings.
Thanks, if I do it that way I'll kee pbb posted.

Have you ever seen a swaybar setup on the rear of a car running a 4-link? Its usually just bent 90 degrees for 5" at the end and drilled x2 per end, then bolted through the lower control arms. Perhaps that would work in between the radius arms for a quick and easy swaybar?
