You need to box that hole area of the frame first

I've got the frame plated on both sides of my eb w/ one quarter
inch plate , plus a horizontal bar across to the opposite frame rail.
I'm running 38 " tsll's with a welded front diff + a saginaw pump &
a stock eb power box . It does well here in my playground out wet
slipprey rocks and mud . Good luck to to you .

Was wondering if you had any pics of how you did that. The frame is not perfectly straight. Did you use a couple of pieces to do that?
Thanks

Port it for a hydraulic ram, let the Ram do the grunt work instead of the box..
Saves Sector shafts too!

No pics, but it was pretty simple to do . Just 2 pieces of plate cut
to fit the area around the box . Be sure to grind the area well &
to weld up any cracks in frame 1st. Then weld a plate on the opposite side of box to weld your brace to and you'll be good to go ! :)

Hell no !!!
Change to a different steering box, & go ram assist... you could probably pay for the whole thing selling a good original EB P/S box

Ah yes... I forgot how freaking expensive those EB boxes are.. would be a shame to port one of them.. I agree.. buy another type, port it for hydraulic assist..

Ok I see what you mean about the plates. I also noticed the rivits that hold the engine crossmember together are loose. This is letting the frame twist. i am going to burn the rivits off and put some 1/2 inch bolts in there first then I am goint to put the plates on the frame!
:p
Thanks
