Im not familiar with the 6.5, but if the 6.5 IP is mechanical and the same as the 6.2 as far as bolting up, Id put the 6.5 injection pump on, put the turbo from the 6.5 on the 6.2 to get some power out of it, and the rest should be pretty much the same, minus the computer junk the 6.5 had.

you need the 6.5 injection pump, injectors, and lines. obviously you'll need the intake and exhaust also. you will probably have to have a longer turbo oil feed line made, and run it from a T at the oil pressure switch port.

As far as I know, the exh manifolds will bolt up. If the 6.2 is running, you don't have to anything else. Like was said before, if the 6.5 is computer controlled, then you'll need to swap all of that, too.

Is that 6.5 a pretty good motor? There is a guy here selling a 'burb with a 6.5 asking $1,500 obo. Seen him driving around town and whatnot. Sounds to drive /shift good and stuff. Worth it for a drivetrain swap in my '86 K10?

the exhaust manifolds do bolt up, but you need the 6.5 injectors, or at least the 88 and newer 6.2 ones because they are shorter, and the exhaust won't clear the longer injectors from the earlier 6.2's, and the lines are a different length to compensate for the shorter injectors.
