Looks like the suspension is very well balanced. Good work guys!

I can't wait to get my F150's installed:bounce:

B&T pivots/extended radius arms, laterally folding rear shackles/F150's, had the 5.0 rewired, 39 TSL's

those 39.5's look to be the same height as the 38.5 SX's, how do they compare in height?

Where did the lateral folding shackles come from? Custom, any pics of those, I want to do something similar to take some tension off the springs when flexing. Looks like they work pretty well.

Does it make Mike miss his old Bronco and want to start the new one.....?

When do we get some Sami carnage shots?

Looks great. I'll bet you'd get more flex in the rear if you moved the shocks inboard of the frame-looks like your shocks are pretty well extended. Sweet though...

Looks very cool and very well balanced. I really like the stance on it.

Which coils are those up front? BC 5.5"?

So, how come you didn't put it on the hood of the Jeep. That would have been a much better flex test. If that Bronco works anything like Mikes did, parking on the rollcage wouldn't be out of the question.

-It's the same setup Mike was running, prior to rear coils, Silly probably wouldn't let him dent his freshly painted hood. He's a web wheeler now.
-I think they're the 5" Wild Horse coils
-The laterally folding shackles were originally made by Matt Z for my truck. He fabbed up a set for the bronco. I have pics of mine laying around here somewhere. They work very well, but spring pivots work better as they relieve all of the tension, instead of just the rear tension, I may go that route.
-The 39.5's are not much taller than a set of 38's but they end up being way wider. They are dwarfed by the 42" TSL's going on the current project.

Laterally flexing shackles? Are these the same type as Mike had on his EB? Are the leafs the F150 type? What axles you got in there?

Do you have any pics of the spring pivots? Sounds interesting.

I haven't made the spring pivots yet, I'm reconsidering it after looking at a post in the toy forum. as far as I know, Mike never had folding shackles. He did have his coil pivots on all 4's. The rear springs on Lance's Bronco are F150 with a full length add a leaf. he's running dynatrac RC60's F/R. I have 63" chevy's in the rear, with a wrangler buggy and laterally folding shackles, bolted to a Toy V6 rear end, with a full width D44 front.
-I'll post pics of the shackles tonight

the stuff we build here isnt about super flex... that rig drives once in a while and he wanted it stable and it is...We are building a cj7 with rear blazer springs in the front on a 60 and 42s and its perfectly matched to the coilovers in the rear... a "solid or firm suspension will kill and ramp queen anyday in the real world..if you can get a tire 38"s ish off the ground and have all 4 touching with some CP you have plenty of flex.

Mike-

Ok here are the pics of the shackles on my truck. The shackles on Lance's bronco were a little bigger since it used the 3" wide F150 springs.

I am assuming that you are talking about my swivel block thread (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3758) ? I have also thought about the pivot shackel. Looked into rovolvers but they don't pivot the right way. Anyways, with my swivels the truck is really loose on the road. How does the shackle handle on the road? Any ill affects off road?

Is one of the front arms risted?
Looks great!

Sillyneck

nope...wrists aren't strong enough...you risk the chance of twisting an axle tube because all the torque is on one c-bushing. Mike builds stuff to be unbreakable vs other stuff. they are extended radius arms...coil pivots and wild horses springs I think.

Yep yours was the post that I was referring to. The shackles drive down the raod just as any other shackle does, no extra movement at all. I originally put them in when I still had IFS so it was a very fair comparison. Now my springs are so soft that the damn truck looks like it's going to fall over in parking lots.

Man I am slow. I guess I will build a set of the pivoting shackles and see. Did you get better buggie movement with em as apposed to without? I hit the frame to hard right now to know.
