What is this truck worth?

A friend is looking into buying this 77' ford ranger. Its got a rebuilt front end with new gears, ball joints, and etc... Its a solid 44. The t-case has been gone through as well. Then its got a 9 inch rear. Its got 33's, 460 bigblock, and dual tanks. Floor has bed liner spray on it. as well as the bed. And a few other things that are slipping my mind.


Has a header leak and maybe a small carb problem. No Rust!


Any idea what it is worth?

I'd pay $2000 if it looked like a work truck, up to $5000 if it had cherry tires, wheels, paint, interior, glass, ac, auto,etc. If its clean, it would be worth more with a short bed. but we have alot of rust free fords here in tucson, that stuff is hard to find in the midwest.

But in CA a 70-79 4x4pick can go from free to 8k
It depends on how clean the body is, most of the other parts on them (drivetrain) does not seem to matter and its easily replced

I talked to the guy selling the truck. He finally set a price after tlaking with his friends. He decided on 1500 with a little room to talk.

Sounds like a pretty fair deal to me.
