the rear has no problems otherwise, just the right seal. what would yous do? trash it and keep the diff. or weld on new pads and save it for a spare?

keep wat for a spare? just get some new ones, but why did it do that? you must not have tightened the u bolts when u put that block in, or who ever did.

That's a factory Ford block...I'd buy or fab up new pads, cut the old ones off and weld the new ones on. Make them beefy and you'll never have to worry about them again. It's a good opportunity to fine tune your pinion angle while you're at it.

save the rear for a spare incase the new one decides to bug out on me, and i do believe that the owner before me didnt tighten the u-bolts tight enough.

Its pretty common, just weld new ones on and run it.
