I have been reading about using the gear box off a NP203 with the case of a Ford married 205. I know there are some adapter issues. Is it possible to use a divorced 205 for this? I can find no info.
Thanks

all make 203/205 doublers. Do some searching. I have jeds, love it. but with the new option of NWF, I would have definatly gotten his if I was buying one today.

I am using the C4 for the tranny. I am also using a Ford 203 reduction box, a Northwest Fab doubler adapter, and a married Ford 205 tcase. I will be posting pics up tonight of it all assy'd and installed in my TJ. :smokin:

If you go on ORD's web site: http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/doubler.htm
Then scrole down to the NP 205 Choices section, you will see that only maried 205 cases can be used.

No matter what brand you use, you will need a married version, divorced won't work.
Thanks for the props on our kit :)

So if you marry the 203 (reduction box only) to your tranny, there is no way to install a yoke the back of the 203 reduction box, so that you could run a divorced 205?

no there is no way, at least that I can see. The shaft coming out of my ORD kit has no way to mount a yoke to it. It has no threaded peice that you could put a fixed yoke on. Maybe a slip yoke? Which I would not do. But thats just me.

The output shaft on the 203 box slides into the input on the 205 and the two are solid mounted together with the adapter. The 205 just takes the place of the rear section of the 203 that you dump. The 203 output shaft is part of the kit. This is what you need. My plans have changed so this is a paper wieght in my garage. PM me.
