: Backspacing On Rims

I have been thinking about getting some beadlocks, but I am not sure what backsapcing I need. I like a wider stance on my jeep so I don't want the tire and rim to be tucked in. I am either gonna get 15x10 or 17x10 I haven't decided yet. What backspacing do I need. My axles are a HP60 Full Width, and a 14 bolt, both have disc and clear 15" rims.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,Cole

first of all. are you prepared to get fender flares? if you dont, you cant go too far out with out the cops messing with you. you have to measure from the outside of the hub/rotor. (hint: where wheel mounts.) to the closest thing on the body or suspension, (hint 2: thats how far the wheel will sit before it touches something.) so thats your measurement. thats back spacing. but if your talking about spacers, then you need longer studs, or those stupid oval spacers that the lug nut can sit in. (those suck ass)

oh by the way. to save you all that trouble. call a 4wheel drive wherehouse
that does installs and ask them what the max clearance specs are.
