Dude, I have no answer for you but can say that I'm sick of people calling other n00bs and telling them to search instead of thowing down 2 or 3 sentances and helping out. This place could be a wealth of information but people are too lazy to help.

This forum has been created for Newbies to ask less than hard core questions. Our goal is to keep the other forums focused on hard core tech, and have somewhere to send people new to the sport at the same time. We also want to be able to move the less than hard core tech from the other forums somewhere. Flaming newbies will not be tolerated in this forum. If you don't want to help people with their questions, don't visit this forum.

Hey moron, go flame in another forum

So you have nothing to add and decided to post just to complain  I didn't need to ''throw down 2 or 3 sentences'' I gave him all the answers he needed to his question by telling him to search.. That question has been discussed in detail more than once, in fact it was just asked within the last few weeks..

This place could be a wealth of information but people are too lazy to help.
Too lazy to help ? Lazy= not searching before you ask questions that have been covered in detail many times.. I gave him the best advise on this whole board because there is a wealth of knowledge contained in that seach feature.. What have you contributed to this topic or the forum in general ?

Thanks for proving my point that the search feature really works and that the suggestion I made to use it would have found those topics and many more like them :D

Well, to be honest, the search button vary rarely worked for me until I bought my red star. I used to try and search all the time, but did not work.

I do think you were a little hard on the guy, but WTF do I know. It is the noob forum, at least he did that right.

take your pick from the list. maybe only a few posts, but none of them were condescending in nature. oh, but if you searched using my member name, you would have known that before replying

Since you're the king of search, how about helping out the noobs by giving them an idea of what to search for instead of wasting everyone's time. Searches work great if you are already familiar with what you're looking for or have an idea of what to search for. Or maybe you want opinions from people who have first hand experience or couldnt find exactly what you were looking for. Go pull out your phone book and find me the number for the EXACT John Smith I'm looking for and I'll give you $100. Sure the phone book is full of John Smith's and their phone numbers and anybody can do a search and find them, but for those who dont already know the correct answer, how do you know if/when you find the correct number?

The guy can go do full research on heim joints, then separately do full research on johnny joints, but that might not necessarily indentify the pros and cons of each in comparison with each other.

If you're researching something new to you, the search feature doesn't instantly turn you into an expert on that subject. Maybe you're suggesting that they just lock the entire bulletin board here and make it read only so that nobody can ask questions and instead just use the search feature since everything at one point or another has been covered.

BTW, in case you didnt know this, the bulletin boards allow people to post stuff. Amazing huh? Since everything has been covered at some point, they may as well lock down all the forums and only allow people to do searches instead of being able to exchange info. OK, nevermind...I think I understand what you're trying to say. Instead of typing out all this, I should of just said USE THE SEARCH to find out why you're useless, unless there's an job opening in the search monitor dept.

Here's some threads that someone posted that coulda been answered with the search:

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=389174
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=378886

Here's a very good example of a thread posted by someone who did some researching, but didnt seem to understand all the "technical jargon" so decided to post instead of search some more or more importantly searched on the "technical jargon" for further understanding. Lets just ignore the fact that the noob post below doesnt even have anything to do with offroading.

Here's some threads that are pretty much totally useless to anyone:
