My brother has an 87 Ninja 750R. I came in a few weeks ago from working out of town for most of the year. He had the carbs and air box dissasembled due to a boot spring rusting in two. he offered me a hundred to put the mess back together.... 2 springs and 2 hours later its back together.... He puts the fairing and all back together on it. Then he tries to fire it one day while Im not around. I get back and get it running for him... It spikes up to 7,000RPM and stays there, anyhow, I adjust the idle and reconnect some vacuum lines correctly and its running fine. NOW comes the funky part. He takes it out the basement and starts down the driveway to take it on a test run. Next I hear is him hollering, He has dropped it on the Rt side and it wont start..... He attempts to roll it off and has no success. Back in the basement I check the fuses... all good,,, check the voltage, all good,, by pass the solenoid, and still nothing but buzzing and humming,,,,,, Removed the starter and tested it on the floor w/ the battery charger (Solar, duel gauge tester/charger/starter combo) and the starter spun over like nothing was wrong. I have even put the bike in gear on the centerstand and attempted to try and turn the motor over via the rear wheel. NO luck..... I have checked and unpluged the kickstand switch and the neutral switches..... but still nothing. even took the battery out of my bike and put in in his to see if that would turn it over.... still no luck. I am out of ideas..... anyone know if maybe the starter lockout switch would cause this, and if so where in the heck is that little demon....

tryed the plugs tonite and still nothing.. the plugs seem to have had some oil and gas on them, and may have been hydro locked at first but I can still find nothing to indicate as to why the engine is locked up. only thing now that I can think of is to go internal.....
