Hey All
I have a new (to me) 83 CJ5 w/258ci 6. This engine has no blow by on top, rebuilt 50k ago. But I'm weeping oil from around the pipe that runs under the motor, and comes up on the spark plug side of the engine. It comes from around the round metal valve that connects to a rubber hose that ends up at the carb. But it weeps heavily in this area, coating the starter motor etc. messy thing! I know this problem must affect other out there. Help!!
Thanks in advance

Mark

Hmm. This is kinda out there, but why don't you replace the part that's causing the leak?

If you knew it was a newbie question, what compelled you to post it here?

1st, The metal round threaded part with a hose clamp on the other end has no areas to leak from, and the hose and clamp seem tight, yet it weeps in this general area, and this part seems wetest.

2nd, I thought by posting a somewhat technical question here would be OK

Its marking its territory, jeeps do that. If you stop the leak it will leak somewhere else and then stop running
