I looked in the classifieds but didn't find any. Buddy just got one in his yard, out of an 87-88 crew cab dually. Don't know much about the trans itself as the truck was a wiring nightmare, but 400s themselves aren't hard to get. So what is the average price for the adaptor and case?? I think it was a round 6 pattern, didn't look like figure 8.

I have seen them going for $250-$300.. But it's like everything else it's worth what somebody is willing to pay..

Around here for a good working setup it is around 600-1000 bucks, without the tranny the adapter is 100-150 and the transfer case is 350-450. Thats why I dont have one :flipoff2:

They are almost non existant in TN.I have had three and they all came from out of state. The one I have in my truck is the only one I have ever found local, and that was three years ago.

If anybody is looking for one, send me a PM. Buddy has one, and its available. Might have another one, but need to crawl under the truck to be sure.

YOU GOT A SMOKING DEAL THEN, HELL JUST GETTING THE 60/70 COMBO WAS WORTH THE 600.00 AROUND HERE.

im with big mudder ---- there aint no such thing as cheap or easy to find 1 ton stuff in tennessee. too many places to play, too many countryboys like to play there, too few junk yards with them left.

i just paid 680.00 for a turbo 400/np205 combo (the 205 big bearing is getting to be a hot item with the doubler option) and 775.00 for a passenger drop dana 60. the 400/205 came out of ohio and the dana out of pensylvania. lucky i work at a huge warehouse and get 60% off shipping with my freight salesrep. he-he.

I can't even get $400 for a 465/203 and a 400 version 205. All you need is an doubler plate.

The adapters take the most money from ebay cause you can ship them but you'd probably have to sell the case locally.
