Looks awesome, Brent. Definitely something you don't see everyday! I'm curious as to the reasoning behind the dual wheels... . Shed some light on this for all of this if you would. :) ~Steve

Check out the viewports in the floor boards! What are you running for a rear axle?

That thing looks fucking nutts!!! Hey brent what spring rate did you use with those coils?

Hi -

Overall width from outside to outside tire is 82". The purpose of 8 tires is to achieve the stability and width of a full size type axle without the big span between the insides of the tires, which causes the axle to get high-centered or hung up on everything. Also, I end up with a better contact pressure and pattern on uneven surfaces. The vehicle can be changed back to a conventional wheel set up in minutes but I wanted to give this experiment a 'spin' at least for comparison sake!!

It's kind of wacky, tell us about the axles and the gears.:)

Hi Fatkid -

Well, it has our custom Big Suz-Ana axles front and rear with 5.63's and ARB's. It has a 6.129:1 transfer case, a panel of switches for the selection of circle steer, side steer, rear steer only, and front 2 wheel low only. It has 4 wheel disc brakes, and cutting brakes.

now all we need are some real action pics. u should have used 38x11 boggers :D that would have been sweet. i am curious how it works though. i would think it would be too wide and expensive, killing the obvious reason you get sami in the first place .

really though, hats off for creativity and actually building it. i would really love to see it in action. it looks sweet, and as you wheel it and refine it i'm sure it will only get better.

Now I get it. At first i thought having duallys was going to work against it but if you let the outside tyres down to 0 and the inners to about 5 you will have awesome grip with the outers against walls etc with the stability lent by the inner set.

Now we need to see action shots

What happens when you start picking rocks up by wedging them between the tires? That can't be good on even super-tough sidewalls.

i wonder if you can get a sami with 8 tires to flex the side walls at ANY air pressure.

He can run them an negitive PSI. That way he could also be the first one with an onboard VAC! :rasta:

Hi All -

I have to apologize for Brent not answering your questions. He has been working from 7 am to midnight every night the last 10 days or so getting this buggy ready for Moab next week! Today he is at the muffler shop overseeing the installation of it's custom 2" exhaust. He has had NO time to look at the bulletin boards. As soon he has time, I will "make" him pay attention to your questions. Hope to meet alot of you in Moab and we WILL be posting some action shots from the Zukfari when we get back on April 1st. That reminds me - We will be closed from March 22nd until April 1st for the event.

Thanks for your patience,

Linda
