ok i did a search and didnt find anything, but if im just missing it please point me to it, anyway heres my question.

i just removed the bed on my truck and fabbed up some tail lights and mud flaps to keep the cops happy for the time beeing, now for anyone who has done this knows how light the truck is now and it hops around alot and has terrible traction, so i gotta get weight on the back but i dont wanna run something that someone already has, i wanna do something new, so my idea is to keep the wheels clear, like run something on the frame itself but it has to serve a purpouse, like i wanna fot a spare tire and tool box on it, any advise is welcome and any build up pics for a flatbed would be great. thanks

you might try some traction bars instead of just adding weight. there are a few companies that sell good off-road bars that don't limit flex.

yeah but i still need the toolbox and spair tire, this is a daily driver aswell. and itsa not hopping due to loss of traction, its just bouncing when i hit a pothole, it has 3/4ton springs and there stiff as hell

well thats a different problem all togeather. a flat bed is def. the best option. it sounds like a lot of fun to drive like it is now though

Here's mine. Started life as a Bronco. I'm still building the spare tire carrier, but it'll lay flat on the bed. I built the frame high to fit a bunch of stuff underneath like the gas tank and air system. The spare carrier will be like a box with an expanded metal top so I can carry coolers and such on top of it.
