I thought I had avoided this problem but today it happened. The dreaded black liquid leaking from the rearview mirror onto the dash.
Anyone on the board came across a cheap bastard replacement for the standard mirror?
I thought I had seen it on the board at one time but after a couple of searches I have still not found it so thought I would ask.
Thanks for any help.

You can get both a CB mirror without the black stuff and the auto mirror as genuine parts, at least for a P38. The CB version was not to bad, IIRC.

Seem to recall that this is the "thread that won't die" on Dweb and that the manufacturer will provide a replacement either free or at a deep discount.

Try Mito Corporation: www.mitocorp.com 1-800-433-6486
I don't know how good they are but they advertise regularly in autoweek. $79.00 Doesn't look like it has any map lights. It might fit the request for a "cheap bastard replacement"
