Anybody try running seafoam in their crankcase? I know lots of people swear by running this thru their intake to clean the upper end, but what about running it thru the lower end? how long should you run it?

I dumped some seafoam into my crackcase and ran it for maybe 20 mins and then changed my oil. Nothing noticeable good or bad except maybe a little piece of mind.

I got a reply from seafoam. Thought I would share for anybody that cares..
It is safe to put 1/2 can of Sea Foam into the oil and leave it in till the next oil change. Half of the Sea Foam will evaporate and the oil will come back to the original viscosity.
That being said if this is the first time you are using Sea Foam in the oil, we would suggest putting 1/2 a can into the oil prior to an oil change, no need to warm up your engine. Drive for 15 minutes to 1/2 and hour, then change the oil and put the second 1/2 can into the oil and leave it till the next oil change. Any further questions let us know. Thanks for using Sea Foam.

Thanks for sharing that. I didn't realize you could leave it in till the next oil change. I guess when it's time for a rebuild is when you'll find out how much it helped.
