I think Woody had stated he gets them from Summit.

Nolen, the picture of your daughter in the drivers seat is pretty sweet!

I've got another one on the way. Any day now.........

Summit did not work. Got street rod shocks and "slammer" shocks made by Doetsch Tech, but I could not find Truck shocks....next?

emailed ya Nolen, I'm taking afternoons off this whole week to work on my kitchen....

Stay tuned for daily updates, including some early this aft from yesterday's work....

For everyone...hit http://www.doetsch-shocks.com and find your length applications. Then enter those part numbers direct into Summit Racing's site. They do have to order in, and it is a couple week wait, but their price is right, their shipping is free, and they are a United supporter.

Nice Job on the house Woody...I would rather be shot personally.

As for the shocks, do I want 3000, 8000, or 9000 series?

Nolen:

Are you getting the max extension available? ( ie Doetch Tech's version of 9012's?) If so, would you post the part numbers here? - I was about to order a set myself. I assume you are getting shocks with the bolt eye at both ends. Many thanks. Andy

Actually I am not. My front shocks are mounted a little different than most. I have Ford F250 upper mounts, but the lower mounts are on the ubolt plate. When I had the bottoms mounted to the axle tube I needed the 9012's, but they kept getting smashed on the U bolt plates when I flexed it up.

I was running 9112's that extend 26.65 and compress 15.94 (for sale).....they were too short after the add-a-leaf so I borrowed a JasonH's 5012's and they are about an inch too long, they extend 33.10 and compress 18.94.

Rancho does not offer one in the middle, so I am going to try the X371 series that extend 29.5 and compress 17.00. This buys me 2" on compression.

If you want the longest EB1 eye Doetsch TRech shocks, you want the X407. It extends 32.00 and compresses 18.5

The "X" is in place of the 3, 8, and 9 that indicates the series of shock. I am waiting on Woody to tell me which one to get.

Hey Nolen,
E-mail Matt H. (TheLakeRat), He got them for mine, and can have them probably orderd straight to you.
The ones that I have on my cruiser are DT3333. They were $37 and ride great.

I run their 3000 series shocks. The PreRunner 8000 series are stiffed, and unsure on the 9000 series. The 3000's are priced right. I've got 4 new ones on my minitruck, the ones on my cruiser are 4 years old, and have a couple other worn sets in the garage. I've generally been getting 40-50k of HARD use in my minitruck. (3rd set of DT's just went in, rancho's didn't make it 20k before they leaked.)

(try towing a 7000# loaded trailer with a 3500# rated Toyota minitruck with a V6 and 5-speed for 10 hours at 70+ mph in 4th gear on a washboarded interstate... FINALLY replacing the clutch this week, after 145k!!!)

Oh yeah, had I not started the house, the wife _would_ have shot me. Promised her a new kitchen when we bought it 5 years back...built the Cruiser instead. Once this is done, it's all shop time tho!

fli-n-hi is one of my local shops, they deal only in doestch tech. i have the long 3000 series, 32"extended, they are always in stock and they ride great, if you like soft, i personally like soft.

Just FYI about Summit... Only about 1/4 of their stuff will come up on the online "browse by category" catalog... If you know the part number from the manufacturer you can search and find it!
