: Found a pinion flange....finally

Well since the wife jobs is in danger of going away, I am holding off on the conversion until I know for sure. Got the parts and what not, just waiting to spendy the money. :D:D

So in the mine time, I finally found a pinion flange for my fine spline (27 spline) gears for the cruiser. However, it already has 2 different bolt patterns drilled in it. And you guessed it, neither work for mine driveshaft flange.

So here is my question. Can I drill a third set of 4 holes in this HUGE round flange and have it hold up???

What did you get the flange off of?

I've got a spare fine-spline pinion that I need a flange for.

I do not see a problem with that. AS long as there is at least 1/8" betweent he holes it should hold up just fine

Flange came off of a 79 to 80 something FJ-60. I ordered it from TPI. Spendy little bastard but still cheaper than a whole conversion, and that gets me back on the trail this weekend!! KICK ASS!!

Hey Jason, the way I marked it out, I should have just shy of a 1/4 inch inbetween each hole. WHOO HOOO!! I thought that would be enough but wanted someone else opinion.

DOH!!! Dude, I totally forgot about sending you those course spline flanges. Damn....some friend I am!! I will box em up and send em out ASAP!! Sorry man.

You still up for wheeling???

At least I get to cart the POS cruiser (a "friends") out of my driveway as soon as I find my towbar!!!
(it was for his cruiser)

I am almost ready to go for the end of the month. Hopefully be out this weekend, testing and making sure I won't explode that fawkin thing again with the new and improved traction bar. Should be fine (I hope!!)

Don't worry I can tow you through anything :flipoff2:

Besides, I have a really large washer that we could weld to your pinion incase you break it again. :D

I want to see your truck in action!!!

and we will have a Early Bronco on 38x11 boggers to show how things are done ;)
