Dana 60 fill plug: Is this a PIPE thread or ...? [Archive]

Got a new dana 60 diff cover from Olympic 4x4 supply which has a triple thick bottom half and now need a plug (threaded type) for the fill hole in the cover.

Anyone know what type of thread this is?

It is a 3/4" hole, appears to be a fine thread, and a 3/4" bolt won't thread all the way through. The bolt seems like it binds up so I'm guessing it is a pipe thread...can anyone confirm this?

PS These covers are really heavy duty. The entire bottom half is 3/8" thick (the top half is 1/8").

oem are definitely pipe thread. can't say for sure about your newfangled fancy one though.
