What make and model vehicle came with the narrower 9" and big bearings? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ford screwed up all the options so that no thing to go by, you need to make sure whats there.

x2!! What he said. Several options, 77 is pretty much a sure bet though.

Like those guys said, with Ford you just never know even the EB bronco's may or may not have the big bearing, although for the most part they did. Basically it's a look and see game.

Having owned 5 EBs from 71-74, it's more miss then it is hit on the BB 9". Easiest way to tell is the size of the drum brakes. If they are 10" then it's a small bearing 9". If they are 11", it's a BB 9". Remember, EB BB9s are still only 28 spline.
