International?

Thanks for the invite.

Tobias is here from Sweden, hence the international!

As for the invite, this is the first time I've ever had the forethought to post an invitation. I apologize for not more directly inviting you!

Is the Rover in your avatar yours???

Peace,
PT

Howboucha Rover People!
Thanks Paul for the e-mail. I plan on being there at 11:00 ish to hook up and meet all of you. I wheeled at Redbird friday with the IDNR execs. Good time. The place is very dry right now which can be advantagious. When it is wet the trails are super slippery.

Good news about Redbird SRA. The IDNR purchased more land which makes the total acreage around 1000. The "new" section isn't open yet, but there will be more trail opportunities next season.

Looking forward to seeing/meeting you tomorrow. I can toss some grub on the grill on your way home if you would like. My place is on your way home (clay city).
Keep it in mind.
Brendan

Well thank you VERY much, AFI, PT, Alexa and Brendan for my first out of Europe wheeling experience!
Really great time.
Many things are similar and many things a different from home. The Indiana mud is a lighter, reddish brown color, while the Swedish "blue clay" is a dark blueish grey colour. They both smell the same!
Oh, the smell of mud on a hot exhaust!

Trail riding is trail riding, which I enjoy, the vegetation and topsoil is totally different, dawn thornbushes, i understand now why you don't go wheeling in TEVAs, AFI!

Very similarly to home the final obstacle "just to geft out" was the challenge of the day and it took two hours to finish.

Alexa's BBQ! That's something we do not have in Sweden. We just put some sausages on a fire and eat them when they are black outside and raw inside. Savages!
So, Alexa, when do you come to Sweden to wheel?

On the way home AFI got this cool idea, but that will be presented in a thread of it's own.

Tobias

Glad that I got to meet youse guys, too bad my son and me had to get back to my house(his wife's car was on the lift,we blew off servicing it to go wheelin')
When I got back to the gate house Gary was there with the maps showing the additional land we're getting :smokin:almost doubling our acreage!(It'll take awhile to get it all prepared for everyone, dealin' with the DNR,they're good guys, but they don't operate at the pace of the free market)
So you all will need to come on back down for one of our all night rides(Oct22-23 and Nov20-21)camp out, drive all freakin' night, party!

BTW,what trails did you end up running?Sounds like it got interesting about closing time!

We would LOVE to have your help anyway you'd want to offer, there is only a small crew that has to handle almost everything to do with the park, the map is a project we just can't seem to get to,with manning the gate, mowing, trail maintenance, and keeping coordinated with the DNR,and now with more trail to layout, classify, install signage and such any help would be appreciated.

I'll be working the gate next saturday so I won't be on the trail 'till after closing, but I can send whoever is there to wheel after it.
