So I have a TJ being stretched to a 102' wheel base. Wanted to run airshox, but starting to second guess myself and wonder if I should do coilovers. Running 40' tires, this rig will be trailered any place. I do however have a bunch of trails within a 30 min drive or shorter so I was wonder.....for driving like that which is such a pain to get the trailer and yada yada and just driving up and down to the store on nice days....are air shox really that bad for road use? I am not stuck on ethir or, just wondering.

i believe the hold back for air shox for that purpose is the heat build up. but with a remote res you should be just fine. i have ot drive my buggy 15 minutes from the parking lot at tellico or trail 2,5 etc... and i havent had them heat up much at all. the only time i even noticed heat was when it was on the trailer and i had the axles only strapped and swaying and bouncing driving 8 hours just warmed them. i would think you will be just fine...
