I was wondering if anyone has used these type of wheel tubs after cutting their fenders, seems like it may simplify the process. I need to figure out a good way to open up my wheelwells, and get rid of some rust at the same time.

Any thoughts?

Nuttzack: What are you planning for the rear of your rig as far as wheelwells?

Thanks for input! :D

Jeg's didn't specify if their price is for pairs, but Summit's are. $65 for a pair is not bad if they'd work. :D

Here's a couple of pics of a Tim Porter built samurai that use em.
Looks like they work pretty good.

I thought about this too, and after seeing what a beotch it is to do it the Tim Hardy way, I say go with the tubs.

Yes, I think they will work. Just need to figure out which size to get.

Does anyone know if Tim Porter has a website? Or if there is a site where I can see more pics of the above rig?

Here's some more info...
Unfortunately Tim doesn't have a website, and has gotten out of the fab business (hardcore4x4) for now. He made some pretty sweet stuff and built some killer rigs (his own "boggerai" & "xsparts",and Jeff Pollock's "never satisfied"). This rig is owned by Jeff Chester from Ohio, one of Tim's pals. Tim did most of the fab work on it. It was finished at the campground during zukmelt 2001. I have a few pics of it, but never scanned them onto my computer yet. I will try to do it tomorrow and upload em to my website.

this site has quite a few pics of it from zmelt 2001. (http://www.projectsamurai.com/gallery/zookimelt-2001/page1.html)

I know there has to be more pics of this rig floating around the net somewhere. Izook.com may have some. I know there are a write ups for "boggerai", "xsparts", and "never satisfied" here at izook.com (http://www.izook.com/rides/features/feature.htm)
