Ok so i think im going to try and do the RUF/CJ spring swap. Its sounds like the cheapst way. But im not sure how to go about this. Since the springs are longer what am i gona have to do to make this work? Im gona go to the yard today and see about some CJ springs. If anyone can help me and explan it, or have any pics they can post of it. That would be great. thanx

Longer shackles ... Be aware that it moves your front axle forward a little.

give T.T. a call and get a set of their expandable shackles. Just tell them what you're doing and they will hook ya up. That will be the best way for a budget build.
I'm running the RUF/CJ's rear. PM me with your e-mail addy and I'll send you some pix and tell you what set up I'm running.

There's a link in there somewhere for adaptor plates for the spring mounts also.

Ok not gona do the RUF/CJ swap. Gona try the YJ swap, cause my buddy has his old set he said i could have. Are they the same lengh as the CJ's? I know the are wider, so i would have to change the U-bolt plate. But as far as the template that was in that link above, it would be the same for YJ swap too? thanx

misc spring length info (http://www.4x4spot.com/misc__spring_information.htm)
It doesnt have the front CJ's but they are a couple of inches shorter than YJ's. I dont remember the exact measurement and mine are z shaped after the last run so I cant measure them for you.

Mine have 6 but they were 5 packs originally. They still flexed really well. I havbe run the 5 packs in the rear in the past and they worked well. I would just go with YJ leaves all the way around though if you have them available. Much better ride.
