: engine overheats with ac on

your radiator needs some help. it's always the last thing people want to think about because it's the most expensive part but i'd bet my left nut that it's your problem.

:shaking: well is that a weak link??previous owner kept jugs of water inside :eek: water pump has already been done and it does it under load not just with the a/c on it goes to about the 3/4 mark then I have to turn on the heat to cool her down a little I havent let it get to the red. this sucks one thing after another, but I love the truck so whatever

Replace the radiator now or suffer the consequences-ask me how I know.

If you need one, contact me, I have them for what I consider to be a reasonable price.

I have found that locally, I can buy new radiators for less than what the shop wants to recore. I'm not certain that rodding is an effective method as you still have ten year-old tanks and core. We find that often what appears to be a good radiator shows evidence of slow leaks upon removal.

well shes stuck in some mud for now but she will be out by this evening and first thing im going to pull the thing and pressure and flow test it what do you want for a new radiator ptschram??
