Well is there a cheaper way to do this other than the $600 wagoneer Machine ones...I searched and found this thread (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16311&highlight=35+spline+ford+60) stating that some cheaper ones, around $200, would be out around February...well its now March and I haven't heard anything about them...are they out there???

what is so special about the wagoneer units that they are 600 bucks?

honestly I dont know...they use 1045 alloy...but I think their real catch is they are pretty much the only ones out there with this (and they are expensive for everything else too)

I think that all you need to do is put a 5/8" spacer between the knuckle and caliper mount/spindle. This will enable you to use the std D70 35 spline outers...read about this a while ago.

You can also cut a little off the end of a D70 axle 1/4" or so, then take a little off the back side of the lock out 1/8". Not sure about the lengths, but will get you close.

Becarful with the spacer, the splindle is a tight fit into the knuckle for a reason.

well if they are alloy 35 splines they are using the stock yoke that has been broched to acecpt a alloy shaft. ORW make these as well and they are also around 600 bucks a set.

stock spicer 35 spline stubs are around 150 each

The $200 outers are for the 99-newer Ford parts Currie is using. John told me just the other day, that the price may be as low as $150 per chromoly outer. I suspect he is having the same folks in China, that build the high pinion 9", build the new outers. The new one piece outers are taking longer then expected, because of shipping delays caused by the war.

The $300 each outer from WMS is a Chromoly outer for the Pre-99 Ford D60's.

This is my understanding at least,

I think Randys R&P also has chro moly 35 sp outers for about $110-$120. Randy told me last summer he would have them in about 6 months.:)

Just to be clear, you are talking about Ford outers, right? GM/Dodge ones are about $150/pair.
