i need to know how to remove the brake rotor hub from the rear axle of a 400ex. i have the sprocket, caliper, left hand nut and jamb nut, small snap ring, and large snap ring that holds the bearing housing. just can't get the brake rotor hub off. is it splined to the bearing housing or is it threaded on useing the left hand htreads used by the two axle nuts?

i have been trying to get this thing apart for some time. there are too many alumn. parts to start hammering on things. need to know the right way.

thanks in advance.

After you take off the two big locknuts and the snap ring and caliper and rotor and all of that crap it should come right out, slide it out of the left side there is a bolt in the bearing housing that you need to take out. I just replaced bearings in a 300 EX, they should be similar. A service manual will tell you exactly how to do it.
