I'm going to port the box but would like to know if anyone has done one for this truck the gear box is the same on the frontier. I have a kit from rock logic and called them, also they have never done one, need help.

LOL, Brent, I think he's talking about porting the steering box for hydro assist (though it took me a few read overs to figure it out). The Xterras and frontiers should have the same steering box. I don't think anyone has done it yet, thats the thing with nissans, you are going to have to do alot more figuring out and tinkering with things than research on the internet. There was a guy in texas (Bignissan/shorty'soffroad?) that I think did it on his hardbody pickup, the box is very similar, you might try asking him.

If you look in the toyota section for instructions on porting the box, you should be able to get enough information to pull the nissan box apart and figure out where the holes go, its a pretty simple hydraulic system.

Greg (Shortys offroad) already did this to his D21 box. Boxes are probaly very similar on the D22. :grinpimp:

I think Greg had a write up on how he ported the box. But his website has been down for a while.
