Your flame lay out actually looks pretty descent!

Here is my daily driver.... it was shot with a descent gun and Sikkens paint but we did on a watered down driveway.... then it took almost a week to cut and rub it. I did it 5 years ago. If you get close you can see a lot of dirt and shit in it, but it is my driver and it looks good goin down the road and even better in pics

I water it down for the primer and base, but I shot it with a $30 gun and cheap Omni acrylic enamel $80 a gallon. :D RD

on the right day, if you know what your doing.... you can get really good results from a driveway.

did you draw your own flames or are those a sticker?

RADDONKEY
09-16-2005, 10:12 AM
Layed out by hand. I dont like the sticker but it would save a lot of time. :D RD

Hey Otto Man what color paint is that?

"Pumkin Orange". Got it at wal mart for like...1.50 a can or so. Everything else is semi flat black, and gloss white on the logo. Only took a few hours to do the hood, that's what ya get when your waiting on parts to arrive. :shaking:

what kind of paint are you using? Auto paint? chassis paint? tractor paint? Is it one part or 2? How much do you thin it?

joe_and_jeep
09-19-2005, 06:20 PM
$17 at Lowes. Rustoleum thinned with mineral spirits

Well, not driveway.. but my garage with a box fan & furnace filter. (she's a work in progress. 91 with a 83 nose & a 98 2.5L a real "CJ" (combo-Jeep)

Still needs a bit of lift and some tires. But it is mostly a fun toy / weekend driver. :D

It's not a Jeep, but here's my latest out door paint job. Cost was about $150 including decals. Used tractor grade paint and shot with an air gun. Took about 1 gallon of paint.

Pic of my Dad taking it for a cruise;

This is as driveway as it gets :) Check this link for the write-up, etc. really easy to do, and my first time painting a rig decentely :)

Paint your rig at home in a weekend :) (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=249432)

This was done with rattle cans, and came out awesome. definitely recommend doing a good job on the prep and base (DO NOT sand down to bare metal, unless you want rust popping back up).

The paint holds awesome, mud, snow, wathever I trow at it, and still looks good after a long time :)
