1) Yes, of course you *can*. You mean "May I?". Of course, as long as your wife agrees, and the dishes are done, etc. :-)
2) Not hard at all.
When I do it, I loosen the torx bolts at the top of the steering column and lower the column a few inches so the cluster will clear the emergency flasher button. Then I pull the steering wheel. Some folks may not pull as much as I do in order to do the chore. Then I take the hex bolts out of the bezel. I pull the cluster towards me as I reach in back and tug the ribbon cables out of the sockets on each side. One final tug detaches the speedo cable. I don't remember if there is any other connection. Hope I didn't forget anything.
3) Yes. It will plug right in. The appropriate wiring is in place already. One caveat.. I've seen a number of used tach clusters that were defective. A lil wire burns in two in one of the meters (Fuel or temp, don't recall). It generally can be soldered. May be good to just stick the cluster in place then test it. Save a lil time if it's bad. Start the engine and let it warm a bit. If you have one with this common fault then the temp gauge will shoot to HOT as soon as the engine warms up. IIRC the Fuel goes to FULL.
