Axle Shaft Stories: Stonger? Warn vs. Superior?
Alloy Front axle shafts:

Who is the best bang for your buck? (Inner axle shaft: 30 spline dana 44)

Warn? / Lifetime warranty / $199 an inner axle

Superior's Evolution? / 2 year warranty / Price?

Dutchman? / $120 up to 33" long or $250 up to 36" long / Warranty?

Moser? / $150 an inner axle / Warranty? (Heard their alloy is to flexible for twisting of offroading...)

Anyone try out superior's new Super Alloy U-joint? Does it even come close to the CTM?

I called Drivetrain Direct(or whoever it is that has been listing the Superior U-joint, I think that's who it is), and they told me that the alloy U-joints won't be available for about 2 or 3 months, and they'll cost about $150 each when they finally do become available. No personal experience with any of the alloy shafts.

Best combo would be Warn/CTM. Ujoint is guarenteed for life and warns seen to be the strongest axles.

Do you happen to know if that is for standard lengths only or do they do custom lengths? That is a great price!

That's for off the shelf stuff, I don't think they do custom lengths.

Actually, I spoke with a warn rep and he said that they can supply you with blank cutsom alloy shafts to any length, but you have to get the splines cut. Check out their website www.warn.com and they list the part #'s for the custom length alloy shafts.

Inner Blank Footnote:1 Length: 22.00 Splines: Blank
U-Joint: 297X PN 61553

Inner Blank Footnote:1 Length: 36.25 Splines: Blank
U-Joint: 297X PN

Hope that helps!

sure and once you buy the axle for 180 (long blank) then get it splined $45 (cheapest I've found) then ship it, $20 (guessing) both ways, you just as well buy the thing from currie $200+shipping for custom length warn cool sheit.
