dual divorced cases is not a great idea, throw in some 4.16 gears or start with a sidekick, then put in a sammy 2nd case behind the married sidekick case.

A bit of advise, run a search for dual cases. You will find a lot of info and you won't look so stupid :D

That's a good idea, thanks! Too bad not everyone can be as smart (or as wealthy) as some of the others. In a perfect world, I'd be an engineer, make my own gears, tranny, and invent some kind of other gearing whatchamakalit. Unfortunately I am not. I assumed that fellow Samurai owners would be a good source for info. I was surprised to see how much BS would be generated from a simple question. I imagine that my reply will make even more. To those of you who lend helping hands to those in need, thank you very much. To those who ridicule the uneducated, I hope you never need help...

Don't feel bad newbie, some of these guys are way beyond helping people. In fact they may even be in a world of their own.
The search works if you've got a lot of time ( web wheeling ) but I for one like the simple question, a quick answer and back to the shop to work on my rig. A guy could spend hours doing fawkin searches on this board and still come up with a dozen questions.
hey rockrat, how long does the set up come to with dual toys and ringr?

I believe it's actually just a tad shorter than the original setup including the intermediate shaft and the tcase on the Sammi when you run one case. Couln't be that much longer with 2 cases although we don't seem to have much room to begin with.

I couldn't agree with you more Reddog! Seems to me it would be easier to ignore my question if it really annoys a guy... Oh well. Atleast nobody suggested I drop my Zuk on a Hummer chassis! Hey wait a minute... there's an idea. I'm sure someone out there must have an extra H1 kickin around.

I have the exact #'s around somewhere.. But if I recall right I do believe it is 4" longer then stock.. In a LWB its no biggie in the short you will have a nasty drive line angle.

Ahhhhhh............. welcome to Pirate! You see, while it may appear that we are being rude, the fact is those of us who have endured this question about a gajillion times over the past few years and argued it til blue in the face may just be tired of those who ask questions but only to get mad when the answer is not what they were looking for. Bottom line up front...... SEARCH NEWBIE! :shaking:

Wow! That's overwhelming! I didn't think it would be that big a deal. I'm not going to go for that now. I do like it though, and have all the info stored in a nice safe place. For now I'll just concentrate and getting my LWB on the road. You know, first things first.
Seriously though, you're gonna have a sick ride szabotage!

Next time I do a ringr/toy tranny/dual toy tcase setup, it's actually a shorter setup to do toy tcase mated to a d300. The problem with drive line angle on a toy tcase is not just the length of the driveshaft (20" on my zuk), it's the fact that rear output is so high up on the tcase.
