posted earlier about a mile marker e8000 going into a non winch arb bull bar Im gonna post some pics of what I fabbed it is hidden besides the switch box on top. the winch is housed inside the bumper cavity I didnt have to cut the top at all as it was suggested. I used 3/8 angle Iron on the top and a 3/8 by 2 bar on the bottom inside the bump And made a full bead across everything spanning the frame mounts flush with the front of the bumper. I then mounted the fairlead on the other side and mounted 2 bolts through the fairlead into the winch mounts then tacked 2 shims on the bottom and mounted them through the front just the same. The winch is on its back but works no differently and I saved some :grinpimp: $$$$$$

I am wondering if that bumper will withstand the leverage of winch pulls, hard to picture it. Keep an eye on it- I saw a similarly modded bumper twist up like a pretzel on the 2nd pull a couple of years back. It could work if reinforced correctly, we need pics.

 I used 3/8 rolled steel not 1/4 no wonder you guys where worried I made an edit to the post, Ill have pictures as soon as I find my camera I have a 2 year old and thats all it takes :mad3: I think my fabbing may be a little better than what arb was marketing (though my welds could use some help)because I am spanning the top and bottom interior of the bumper to the chassis mounts and then bolted through the fabbed steel and the bumper itself ill post as soon as I find the camera. But I tested it for flex on a steep hill over some serious crags I wasnt stuck but it wasnt an easy pull I just wanted to test my new winch and it took it like a champ the steel from the arb bump showed 0 sings of ANY kind of distortion ill post pics asap

From looking at a winch arb bumper... there's no difference outside of cutting a spot for the winch.
post is useless without pics... I'll post some pics of a D90 arb winch bumper it it'd help. :p
