: anyone ever swapped in a toy axle

Found a yota rear with 4.10's for only 75$CDN....
anyone ever tossed one under a YJ?
anyone know width?

biggest problem with be driveshaft-pinion...
I wonder is they sell bronco/toy capsized u-jounts :o

not tto sure ont eh width but don't forget they are 6 bolt not 5 on 4.5. so you would need to swap another diff in the front or else you will need 2 spares.

i've heard macihine shops can redrill the flanges
getting the 5 on 4.5 and solving the problem of having to buy new rims
anyone ever done this? or know if it possible

Yeah its possible. I am doing it. Go do a search. and go look in the yota section. I have 2 treads FULL of info on them. axle confirmation and putting a yota axle in my heep.


Go look. If it is from a 86 or newer it is 58" wide

For one thing, that Toy axle is either 55.5" or 58.5" wide - a few inches more narrow than your stock YJ axles....
