OK - been into rockcrawling for years, but the family wanted bikes too. SO since we are just starting out & plan on doing trails and open areas only, went simple per the wifes request... she got a 81 XL250S wit 2600 orig miles, beautiful pampered bike, $700. The kids both got early 70's CT90 Honda Trails, run pretty good, only $600 for the pair. I landed a 97 XR600R per everyones recommndation locally as a bulletproof setup, and plan to dual sport to save on gas and have some fun. I actually like having a bike again (Street biles in the 80's/90's) to putt around town & cruise to work. The bike currently has a CA license plate but no DS kit.. dont know how but I'm not complaining, saved me a step. Now I just need to legalize it so I dont get pulled over. Question is who makes a stret legal kit for this year? Baja Designs reportedly discontinued the kits for these years - any other suggestions?
