Everything on my '87 works except the horn. Horn checks out ok, so I've been looking for the relay. Could someone point me to the location. Thanx

Original owner, '87 soft top. 34K miles. No typo - only 34,00miles. As a third vehicle, only driven during the summer/fall (dry days}. Stored Nov - April.
Last time I had it serviced the mechanic wanted to buy it. Best 6100 bucks I ever spent. Now if I could only fix that horn.

It's built into the gauge cluster. If it burns out, you're fawked, either have to open the cluster (beotch), replace the cluster or install an external relay.

The horn pulls a lot of amps, so use a big ass relay............

OK fawkers, let's not ruin ANOTHER golden opportunity to play "Fawk With the Newbie"............

Just wire up one of those Dukes of Hazzard horns and forget about it. Thats how we do it in Arkansas

Hmmm...mine was behind the glove box, I had to use a Dremel to cut through to get to it

Since the horn is already grounded when you push the button, I just wired it straight to the battery positive and it has worked ever since. Had to do the same on my S/O's also. They have a whole lot of things on the same wire strand that I don't use any more so this fixed it.

Thanks for the info. I'll hook up another relay sometime before the decade is over. For now I'll keep an air horn canister handy. Girlfriends getting tired of leaning out the window and yellin'.
