Anyone have any pix of the Avalanche Hi Steer arms hooked up?
They tell you to use 1 ton Chevy (Moog brand) tie rod ends with their arms. I put them in and there is about a 1/2" gap between the arm and the tre. Is this set up supposed to be like that?
Also, what pitman arm are you running with the YJ boxes?

Yes, the gap is supposed to be there. We machine the arms for that specific height to allow full movement of the tierod. Please call use if this doese not completely help. Clifton

Thanks for the reply....that makes complete sense I just wanted to make sure. The castle nut fits perfectly flush with the arm. These Avalanceh TRE arms are machined to fit perfectly. Recommend them to anyone doing the high steer.
What do the castle nuts get torqued down to?
Next step; measuring for the tie rod and drag link...
Thanks!

I used the TRE's for a one-ton ES2026R and ES2027L. I used them for my tie rod and drag link. The pitman arm is off a waggy and had to ream it out a little to be able to use the TRE's. I got the TRE's from www.autozone.com for 24.99 and 19.99 ea then bought the 7/8 - 18 tube ends from Avalanche and their jam nuts.
I used 1.5" DOM with 1"ID for the tie rod and drag link.
